Walking re-visited
New Year’s Day is a good day to jump back into my walking schedule. I walked for 40 minutes tonight. It was cold but it felt good. I do need to get some better mittens and my own hat. I’ve been stealing Sarah’s cute American Eagle hat with ear flaps! I’ve been wearing some sock liners that I got at Dunham’s. They are a metallic blend and they do a remarkable job of keeping my feet warm!
As my accountability partners, you, my readers, are doing a lousy job of keeping me accountable! Step it up, friends!

Walking
I desperately need to walk every day- especially in the winter when my body thinks that the lack of sunlight means that I’m supposed to be in hibernation. If I could, starting around October, I would curl up in my bed and stay there untillllllllll March April May. I never know if hubby’s leaving for work at 6 AM or a 10 AM – so morning is really out. (Great excuse, huh?) Evenings, let’s see…. Monday and Tuesday evenings I work- Wednesday night is church. That’s 3 evenings that are out. I don’t know about the rest of you, but getting home at 9:30ish and needing to make sure the kids are in bed headed to bed thinking about going to bed does not make walking then an option. So, I guess it’s going to have to be in the middle of the day. That has several ramifications. One is that the kids will have to go with me- I suppose they don’t HAVE to – but I really don’t like leaving them home alone. The other thing is that I would have to get OUT OF MY JAMMIES! HMMMMM, that’s probably not a bad thing. But where am I going to find the accountability? You! Yes, you! Feel free to ask me if I’ve taken a walk today. And no, I haven’t walked yet today. I’m still in my jammies, sniffling and sneezing and coughing. It’s been a week – UGH! Ok, so here’s the deal for today. I have an appointment this afternoon that I will have to get dressed for. I WILL walk before I leave for my appointment. GULP!
