The 12 Days AFTER Christmas
This very funny song was sung at the DSO concert Friday night. Jim and the kids had never heard it. I told them that I’d find the words for it. Could I have sung it in High School???? (Brenda? Roberta?? are you out there?)
The 12 Days AFTER Christmas

The first day after Christmas
My true love and I had a fight.
And so I chopped the pear tree down
And burned it just for spite!
Then with a single cartridge
I shot that blasted partridge
My true love
My true love
My true love gave to me. (more…)

DSO
The family and I just got back from a holiday concert with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. What a treat! The kids (and Jim) enjoyed most of it! I enjoyed every bit of it! I have one new concert rule though…. Wear comfortable shoes! No more heels! I must say though, that if I had JUST worn them to the concert, it might not have been too bad. I’d had them all day though. My feet just aren’t as young as they used to be!
I’m trying to sweet talk Jim into letting Sarah and me go to the Barbie concert on the 23rd. It looks like it’s going to be fabulous. “For the first time ever, see all of your favorite scenes from the best selling Barbie Princess movies come to life on a giant screen above the Orchestra as the DSO plays the music LIVE! This holiday season, experience the magic of Barbie in The Nutcracker, Rapunzel, The 12 Dancing Princesses and more.” The majority of the music from the Barbie music is classical, so it rates very high in my book!!! Care to come with us?
