Water, water everywhere…

February 6, 2008

This is what I woke up to this morning….
15232760.jpgThis photo, which was more than likely taken from my front yard, was on the news this morning – and on the internet! Needless to say, we are stuck here at the house. My van was actually in the street this morning and had to be moved up the driveway. BY ME!!! Stepping in that water felt like stepping in Lake Superior! I crawled in through the passenger side door, (giving my neighbor a lovely hindside view!). But at least the car is up the driveway now:)

I’ll post again if I need someone to buy me groceries and airlift them in!!!!!

Jeepers!!!! I was in MS once on biz and I pulled into a Wendy parking lot. Realizing it was full of water I tried to pull out the hotel parking lot next door. There was a culvert inbetween. The local Holly Springs MS police had to come get me out! I ended up wading thru the water in nylons and a skirt!

After our ’stuck in the house’ morning with Daddy, we did a GREAT solid afternoon of school. James did about 4 chapters of math, whipped through some spelling and will read to me later this afternoon. Sarah did all of her basics – Math, Reading, and LOTs of Grammar (usually what she melts down over.) This took us about 2 1/2 hours – from 1:30-4:0o. Time to see if I’ll be able to get out of the neighborhood to go to Pioneer Club tonight. Cheerio!
